Agnes Mary Youngs

Agnes Mary Youngs, a lifelong area resident, died April 19, 2024 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was 93 years of age.

The daughter of Raymond Dewitt Bull and Mary Almeda (Stewart) Bull, she was born in Circleville NY on September 12, 1930.

She graduated In June of 1948 from Middletown High School. She retired as a bookkeeper from Robert Wilson, CPA

She had previously worked as a bookkeeper for Edmund T. Youngs Public Accountant.

She was a Charter and Life Member of Circleville Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary. Past: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Chaplin, Trustee and received “Fire Women of the Year” and 30 Year Plaque for devoted service in 1990. Served coffee and refreshments at fires for many years before the auxiliary was ever formed.

Member and past treasurer for Bullville United Methodist Church, Bullville Cemetery Association and Town of Wallkill Seniors. Past Board chairperson for the Church and found working many years at the Bullville Methodist Thrift Store. Member of the Little Lambs Christian Nursery School Board for years. Many years as a Cub Scout Den Mother and proudly wears mother pins from each of her three Eagle Scouts. Marching chaperone for the Circleville Drum & Bugle Corps. Known for delivering home baked pies as a thank you to many workers and residents in the area. Enjoyed spending time with her family members playing Pinochle and watching them play sports. Member of the Bull Family and attended the famous Bull picnics with her brother, sons and grandchildren when they were available.

Predeceased by both of her husband’s: Edmund Thomas Youngs, Jr and Elwood (Woody) Ayres. Predeceased by her brothers: Richard G. Bull and Floyd L. Bull and her sister in laws: Esther Bull, Helen Crotty and Betty Friedrichs.

Survived by her sons and daughter-in-law’s: Edmund Theodore Youngs, Sr. (Ruth), Raymond R. Youngs, Sr. (Mary Jo), Clifford W. Youngs (Diane); 8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren who all brought great happiness to her life.

Survived by her former daughter in law, Donna Youngs, who was there until the end and sister-in-law Roberta Bull and many nieces and nephews.

4 PM Viewing; 5 PM Service on Monday April 22, 2024 at Bullville Methodist Church.

Cremation and burial of her ashes will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
